Cashback with an existing broker account: assignment and process

You already have a trading account? What matters is whether the broker can assign this account to DualNet. An existing account cannot be switched in the same way with every provider.

An existing account is not the same as a new registration

With a new registration, the partner assignment is often already set when the account is opened. With an existing account, however, it must be checked whether an assignment exists and can be changed.

Signing up with DualNet is the request for setup. It is not yet the broker’s confirmation that a partner change has been completed.

Which details are needed?

Have the broker’s name, the account type and the account number ready. The customer email must be reachable so you can confirm the sign-up. For the same broker and account number the details should match.

If an introducer is already assigned, state this in the sign-up process provided. Which additional steps are needed depends on the broker.

Why the processes differ

The DualNet broker guide lists the currently stored notes: some processes use the client area, others a request to support or opening an additional trading account.

For Gate.io the stored data states explicitly that the referral code is set at registration and cannot be changed afterwards. A blanket promise for all existing accounts would therefore be wrong.

How to proceed

Open the broker guide and read the note on your provider. Then start the DualNet sign-up with the matching account details. Confirm the email and note the feedback on the assignment.

Only calculate possible rebates with the conditions for the correct account type. For the credit, the reported and confirmed settlement data counts, not an expected amount from the sign-up.
