Calculating cashback: choosing broker, account type and unit correctly

A useful cashback calculation starts with the right broker and account type. Then market, trading volume and the unit of the stated rate must match.

These details belong in the calculation

In the DualNet calculator, choose your broker, the account model and the market traded. Use the conditions shown for this combination. A rate for another account type cannot simply be transferred.

Check whether the payment is stated per lot, as a percentage or in another unit. The currency belongs to the number as well.

A calculation example with a clear basis

Suppose a rebate were stated as 2 currency units per eligible lot. With 10 eligible lots that would arithmetically give 20 currency units. Both numbers are freely chosen example values and not DualNet conditions.

If instead a share of a confirmed payment is agreed, the calculation needs this payment amount as its basis. Trading volume alone is then not enough.

Why estimate and credit can differ

The calculator gives guidance based on the chosen inputs and stored conditions. For the actual settlement, the data reported and confirmed by the broker or settlement partner counts.

If there is a difference, first check broker, account type, market, trading period and unit. A different period or a wrongly assigned account cannot be fixed by entering a desired amount.

From calculation to payout

Once your account is assigned, cashback is determined from confirmed settlement data. You can request available credit for payout in the client portal.

The desired payout destination must be confirmed. A calculation of expected cashback and an actually confirmed credit are not the same. For the payout, use the amount available in the client portal.
